    Montessori Courses are accepted by the Oregon Office of Child Care (ORO) AND Montessori Courses are accepted by the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services AND In Arizona for continuing education credit. ****All courses are SET 1 Training, ONE HOUR each.**** Texas Department of Family and Protective Services- courses are categorized as self-instruction courses. Earning 12-24 hours of annual training. If you reside outside of Oregon ,check with local childcare offices to review if courses will be accepted. See FAQ for more information

Ginger Barker

Ginger has been in Montessori education for the past two decades. She received her AMI Montessori diploma from MNW in 2000, and has been in the primary classroom ever since. Recently completing her BA in Social Science from PSU and a Masters in Education with a focus in Montessori Integrative Learning from Endicott College, she is poised to share her love of Montessori philosophy and practical classroom applications with other childcare professionals

  • How many days do I have to complete the course?

    All courses must be completed within 90 days of purchase. After 90 days you will need to purchase the course again to gain access.

  • How long does each course take to complete?

    Courses should take about an hour to complete. Each course has the following components: Preparation: 5-10min Presentation: 25-30min Supporting reading material: 10 min Reflection activity: 5-10 min Quiz :10-15 min

  • Do the courses count for continuing education clock hours?

    Yes! In Oregon, Texas and Arizona. All courses are accepted by the Oregon Office of Child Care for their training requirements for those who work in certified child care centers, certified family child care homes and registered family child care homes. This includes clock hours for directors, head teachers, teachers, teacher aides, operators, owners, site directors, site coordinators, providers, caregivers, substitute providers, assistants, volunteers and registered family child care providers.In Texas Courses meet the training requirements for those who work in Child Care centers, School age and before and after school programs Registered and licensed child care homes. This includes clock hours for directors, operation directors, site directors, program directors, caregivers, primary caregivers, assistant caregivers, substitute caregivers, substitutes and volunteers. In Texas Montessori Courses are self-instruction courses. In Arizona they can be counted toward continuing education hours. Anyone residing in another state please check with your local childcare regulators to see if the course will count for clock hours.

  • How many clock hours does each course qualify for (In Oregon, Texas and Arizona))?

    1 clock hour

  • Can I re-take the same course for more clock hours?

    No, you may only take a course one time to count for clock hours. ORO does not accept repeat courses for new hours.

  • How do I get my completion certificate?

    You must pass the quiz (80% or higher). Once a quiz is submitted please allow 2 business days for a completion certificate to be sent via email to email address used during course registration

  • What if I don't get my completion certificate?

    Please email us at : [email protected] with CERTIFICATE in subject line to inquire.

  • If I don't complete the course can I get a refund?

    All sales are final. No refunds will be issued.
